Highlighting an entire (whole) row based upon a cell value (tutorial video)

Format the whole row based on one cell value

In the case of formatting a whole row based upon a cell in it, you will be using an advanced form of conditional formatting. There is no predefined criteria to choose from a menu, but you will be inserting a formula.

Watch the video carefully to see where to insert the formula, and how to build it.

You can practice it yourself by downloading the spreadsheet used in the video (using the "Try it yourself" link from above).

At first look it might seem complicated (yes, it is a little more complicated than the common usages of conditional formatting), but once you get the grip, you can easily use it with your tables, and achieve a very impressive effect.
