Money Carnival - An Online Game

By: e-learningforkids.org

Cappy the Penguin is off to the carnival to spend the money saved in his piggy bank, and wants you to help.

There are three different games to play at the carnival. In the first, you must turn over cards and match the cards showing a total of money with the card showing the picture of the coin that matches that total – for example, ten pennies would match a dime coin.

The second game sees Cappy at the carnival candy store, where there are five jars of sweets. Click on each jar and it will tell you how much the candy costs and ask you to add or subtract the number of coins you need to pay for the sweet. There are six answers to choose from – so be careful, one will be incorrect!

At the toy depot, you and Cappy can put your money together to buy the toy you wish to buy. This is similar to the candy store – but the toys are more expensive, so the numbers to add or subtract are larger!

The final game is to visit the spinning wheel, which shows an amount of cents and asks you to toss a coin from the penny, nickel or dime bag to match the number of cents on the wheel – so it might ask you for ten cents, so you can throw a dime to get the right answer.

A great way for first and second grade kids to learn about money, this is a fun day at the carnival for all!
