Troy's Toys - Interactive Percentage Game
(Calculating Discount)

By: www.mathplayground.com
Use your math knowledge to go shopping at Troy’s Toys and see if you can find the biggest bargain!

A selection of toys is on the shelf – from a drum to a football, a toy car to a bicycle – and each of them has a price underneath. You must move several of them to the counter, where you will then be asked a series of questions, starting with how much they add up to before starting to work out the sale price.

There are two levels. In the first level, you must work out the sale price when the original price and the discount are known. In the second level, you work out what the percent discount is when the original price and the sale price are known.

This is a great way for kids in fifth to seventh grade to use their math skills in a real-world setting, so that they can see the value of their skills.

Hone your skills with this online challenge – and then use them next time you go to a real store!
