Probability Pond - An Online Game

By: www.pearsonschool.com
Hop on over to the pond and test your knowledge of probability!

To begin with, a friendly frog will ask you to choose from several options – describing chances, finding probability and showing probability.

In describing chances, you simply need to whether the chances of choosing a particular firefly are certain, more likely, less likely, equally likely or impossible.

In finding probability, you need to adjust numbers to show what the chances are of selecting a particular color of firefly – so if there are four fireflies, and one is yellow, the chances of selecting a yellow one is 1 in 4.

Finally, in showing probability, you need to add more fireflies to match the probability of choosing a particular color.

The range of questions makes this suitable for kids from fourth through to sixth grades.

That friendly frog will be happy to give you a helping hand too – offering advice if you get a question wrong. So hop to it!
