This is a game of catch where your math skills are the crucial part!
In this online game, a ball is set swinging at the top of the screen, marked with a fraction. At the bottom of the screen are five jars, each partially filled and marked with lines to show how full it is. It’s up to you to steer the ball into the jar filled to the same level as the fraction shown. If it lands in the right jar, splash, you’re on to the next question! You get a chance to try again if you get it wrong – but your score loses some points.
This is a good way to introduce fractions – ideal for those in grades 3 and 4. The fractions involved are up to fifths of a whole.
You’ll also need to make sure you steer the ball well as it falls, using the arrow keys on your keyboard to direct it to the right jar.
